Look, a toddler in a tiara! Yes, this is real and my Pa-paw put this picture in the local paper. I've been graced with an incredibly supportive family who've always instilled a drive to make my every dream a reality. What little girl wants to be a princess when she can be a queen? Even more than the drive to be a consummate entertainer making people laugh to enjoy life a little more, is my desire to tell the stories of great women. My undergraduate education at Stephen's College (for women!) opened my eyes to the power of the many women in history that have sojourned to make my voice in this world filled with purpose. I believe what I bring to the world as a storyteller, magic maker, and thought provoker heals a muddled past into a clearer brighter present. This girl may leave California, but the sunny disposition it has bloomed within me will always be the greater part of who I am. I love challenges outside of my art like scuba diving and Class 3 river rafting because they fortify my strength of character. I'm also a fan of a good ol' porch jam-hootenany filled with my hubby's home brew and song with my fellow musician friends.
